Prenuptial Agreements

A prenuptial agreement is a written agreement made between two prospective spouses that details the rights of each in the event of a separation, divorce, or death of either party. Generally, this agreement lists which assets and debts will be considered marital versus non-marital, detail the actual distribution in the case of a triggering event, and may specify each party's rights regarding receipt or payment of some form of spousal support, counsel fees and costs.
